Our first favorite seaside resort is the Blue Coast ! Located on the Mediterannean Sea between Marseille and Martigues, the turquoise color of the water gives its name to the coast.

Carry-le-Rouet

Along this coast Discover Carry-le-Rouet, with its beautiful landscape of beaches and wild creeks. Among them, the creek “des eaux salées” (salted water) located in a forest, is only accessible by foot where you can see Marseille and Grande Mornas Island. Famous for its limpid waters and its pebble beach, it is dominated by Viaduct “des Eaux-salées”.

Another coastal village stretching along the Blue coast is Sausset-les-Pins, with its fishing port offering a landscape between sea and pine forest. Being part of the marine park, it offers divers the possibility to visit the seabed.

Discover then along the Blue Coast, Ensuès-la-Redonne, small fishing port with multiple creeks and shaded beaches. You will be able to swim in the Athénors cove, famous for its clear water and its pebble beach, or in the Grand Méjean cove.

GRASSE PERFUME’S CAPITAL

The world’s capital of perfume means flowery landscapes ! Come see and smell these fragrant flowers : roses, jasmins, mimosas or lavenders. Discover in Grasse Grasse fragrances of the South of France, from flowery terraces to fields.

It’s in this traditional provençal city with orange and yellow houses that the great perfumeries were born. Fragonard, Galimard for instance have settled there. The quality of the soil and the mild climate make for ideal flower growing.

Avignon, also classified by Unesco, for its historical center and known for the formidable Palais des Papes, emblem of the city and a grandiose monument. It’s the largest gothic palace in the world. Then, you discover little medieval houses or particular mansions dating from the Renaissance. As well as its historical center surrounded by ramparts.

Orange and its festival Choregie

Finally, Orange, its Arc de Triomphe and its ancient theatre classified by Unesco, offer a testament of Roman civilisation tracing Orange’s history from Antiquity to Today. But also many specialities such as « sablé du théâtre ».
